Hellas Leung

Hellas Leung was a Chinese TV news anchor and reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost two decades. She graduated with two bachelors‘ degrees in Journalism and Psychology at San Francisco State University in 2000. 

She went to the law school in 2014 and graduated in 2019. Later, she passed the California bar exam in July 2022 and sworn in at Santa Barbara to be a licensed attorney in California.

Hellas Leung worked for many different professions before she has become an attorney in California. She was a TV news reporter, anchor and producer. Then she also worked for public relations, the government prosecution department, insurance companies, and also, non-profit organizations, helping low-income households who cannot pay electricity and water bills or get evicted by landlords.  Providing low-cost legal services for people in need is always her goal.

Moreover, she provides tutoring services to people who are preparing for the California Bar Exam, mostly Chinese takers speaking Cantonese or Mandarin. She wants to show them speaking English as a second language would not be a barrier to passing the bar exam.  In addition, she also writes a book named write “Think before you write for California Bar Exam,” sharing her experiences of handling the exam.
