This book is for everyone who plans to, who is thinking of, or who is going to the law schools now, and who is also preparing to take the bar exam in California. For the logic, skills of writing analysis, formulating arguments, and defenses, as well as drawing conclusions, it would be universal for all law school students. (But the book mainly focuses on the law students in the United States.) Or if you have barely passed the law school exams, or have graduated a decade ago but have been busy taking care of your children, and would like to strengthen your basic skills in writing essays before you sign up for another bar exam, this book is also desirable for you.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.
